The King

I open my eyes
What do I find?
My world my home is left behind
The morning sun dawns in the sky
I have been taken
Where?
Why?

A sacrifice this girl will make
The one from which her home we take
Our Serpent king will rise again
He'll grant us power on my men!

An answer given
Evil man
Why is it power he demands

Then serpent King I think in fright
A sacrifice, that can't be right
I look a head and in my sight a hidden temple flaunts its might

Open me not evermore!

Read the ancient temple door

The King of snakes inside doth dwell
The guardian
Eternal hell

My captors had me bound up well
They pushed me on and down I fell

"You'll meet the King of snakes"they teased

But lying in the dirt I sneezed
One pulled me up and shook his head

Soon dear girl you will be dead

I watched in horror a spell he said
The thing woke then the king from dead.

A rumble shook the earthen floor
The seal was broken on the door
I screamed then as they then pushed me in
My nerves were wearing ever thin

Behind me came the sickening sound of grinding stone
I spun around
The door sealed shut
Blackness I found
Out of the darkness came a sound
Scale on stone scratching the floor
My heart was pounding more and more

The hair stood up upon my neck
I could not move to make my trek
The blackness it had blinded me
I was scared I could not see

An ancient torch sprang then alight
Ending now an endless night
Scale on stone, did I hear right?
A hiss came from behind the light

The king of snakes rose in the air
His blood read eyes at me did glare
His crown a hood that he did wear
Black symbols graced it everywhere
His stomach was a yellow white
His body bronze gleaming in light

The Cobra King the snake of hell
Taller than the deepest well
It towered high above my height
I stood erect frozen in fright

Poised and ready now to strike
His muscles snapped
I screamed in fright
I leaped away but tripped and fell
I smacked my head
I gashed it well

I gagged even as I did crawl
I choked on blood
My death I saw
My head it throbbed and it did swim
I thought of fighting back on whim
The Cobra King he would not win
I will survive
I screamed to him

He struck again and grazed my arm
Not causing to me any harm
I jumped again
I tried to move
He swung his tail
His aim was true

He slammed me hard against the wall
Cracking ribs
Down I did fall
He was ready poised to bite
Venom dripping
Hells delight

He struck so fast I could not move
His fangs sunk in they pierced me through
I screamed aloud in pain and fright
The snake had won
I lost the fight

My blood his venom blended right
Then it came alive with light
My crimson life force fought its might
But bruised and beaten hissed in spite

The poison boiled in my veins
I screamed it hurt
I then did change

Legs for a tail I did exchange
My height far higher it did range
My skin was covered then in scales
I screamed and to the king I hailed

My teeth fell out except for two
And then so long and sharp they grew
Last then my arms began to change
Them for a hood I did exchange
I hissed and rose high in the air
No longer human
This was not fair
My fate I could not understand
I should be dead
But here I stand

An answer snake I do demand!
I hissed aloud
He took his stand
Then he said through scaly lips
As he curled upon me
Whats a king without a queen?

Griping me in loves embrace
I looked into his eyes
From that single moment on I was mesmerized
I no longer fought his might
I did not scream and run in fright
I could not resist his kingly charm
I then gave in with no alarm

Tender kisses
Bodies tight
The heat of passion
Lusts delight
Carnal pleasure
Serpents Rite
King and Queen are one tonight
